Love this bakery! Their pastries and bread are excellent and I love coming here when I visit on Saturdays. Wish they were open Sundays too but I get that they take that day off. If you’re visiting PG this is a great bakery to check out.

If there is but one great bakery, it is Pavels. Great bread. Wonderful people.

Cash only! Waited in line for a bit after getting there at around 7:45 but line moved pretty quickly. Had an apple danish and a chocolate croissant. Wish I had gotten more because they are SO good. Total came out to around 7$ for both. The croissant is giant and the danish is regular sized.

Just love the freshness and taste of all their breads. The few times I've been here I have received excellent service.

Excellent bakery. The pastries are excellent, especially the croissants and chocolate croissants. The almond bear claw is excellent also. All the pastries are massive, so you get your money's worth as well. Fair warning though, this place is incredibly popular so if you want anything good you need to wake up early to get it.

Amazing bakery. We got the cinnamon roll and a loaf of cheddar sourdough. So tasty!

Colossal croissants! That are brittle in the crust! And deliciously soft inside! Go buy! Seriously, this is a great place for very (very!) generously portioned pastries that taste great. Just like their size.

A word of advice: visit an ATM before heading to Pavel's. They only accept cash and given how delicious all of their items look and taste, whatever spare cash you are carrying will not be enough. Another word of advice: get the Farmer's Bread. This seeded, slightly sweet bread is so tasty that it's easy to eat the whole thing on its own, without any butter, jam, or cheese.

Croissant is so nice and moist, awesome! What is my favorite is Farmer’s breakfast which has all components required for breakfast.

I love everything sold here, but my favorites are the farmer's bread, the farmer breakfast brotchen, and the chocolate croissants. Bring cash or your checkbook, no cards accepted.

Best bakery ever in my life!

The pastries here are amazing. My wife and I were in Pacific Grove for two days and shared several the first morning and then went back for more the next day! Great coffee, too.

Well if you actually have something in mind that you want from this bakery, make sure you go as soon as they open. They sell out and that's it. We were lucky to get an eclaire and a Sourdough baguette. The baguette wasn't as sour as I thought it would be (still good quality bread). The chocolate ganache was delicious on top of the eclaire. Definitely recommend.

My favorite pastry shop in all of monterey! Get the blueberry cream cheese danish and chocolate croissant. They have a nice little alfresco seating area too.

This place seems to be THE place. My friend and I scouted it out the night before, went through all the pictures what we might want to get, set an early alarm to get there in time before they sell out on pastries, and we get there.... and it's closed. We weren't the only ones who let out a big sigh, not kidding, 8 other people came from all corners and sides, just to read the sign that they are closed. This place really seems to be the best thing in town.

Simply a must if you love breakfast goodies! Be prepared for a little bit of a wait, because they'll be a line, but it's well worth every second.!

First time I went in with one of my patients I'm a home care provider and we ordered some of the most delicious pastries I have ever tasted without my Knowledge they didnt accept cards idk if it's just at the moment but annie hope I'm spelling her name right without hesitation said it's okay u can bring the money back when you get a chance the fact that she did that when business are not that busy was just amazing thank you so much annie from the bottom my heart btw I went to find a atm and went to pay her asap thank you again for your great customers service theirs not many of you in this world thank you and we will be back

if God built a bakery to give us joy and deliciousness, she made it here. I have never been disappointed and I have always been astounded at the quality and Care produced with every bite.

Stopped in at 7 am and there were lots of pastries on display, but no actual bread loaves. Maybe I need to know what to ask for. Still, we got 2 mini epi loaves which were chewy and just right. Perfect with my cheesy-scrambled eggs. The next day we stopped in at 8 and there were 8 loaves to choose from. We walked out with a still warm baguette—perfect crunchy chewy delight.

Cash only bakery but so good. Chocalate croissant couldnt be better
